Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to the Dog Gone Done website, product preview, founding list, member web app, and related services we make available (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to create or control a Dog Gone Done account. An adult account owner may add household members, assign pet-care tasks, and share adult-controlled access. Minors may not create independent accounts. The adult account owner is responsible for supervising household participation, obtaining any necessary permissions, and ensuring that information entered about household members is appropriate and accurate.

2. What Dog Gone Done provides

Dog Gone Done is a family pet-care coordination tool designed to help households organize and record feeding, walks, grooming, sleep routines, appointments, medication schedules, and other care tasks. The member app is an early beta, and some features shown on the public website may remain previews or work differently during testing. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features as the Service develops.

3. Care records and veterinary disclaimer

The Service records information that users enter. It cannot verify that a task or medication dose actually occurred, and reminders or notifications may be delayed, missed, or entered incorrectly. Dog Gone Done does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring, or medication recommendations. Always verify important care directly and follow your veterinarian's instructions. If you believe a pet received an incorrect or duplicate dose, contact a veterinarian or animal poison-control service immediately.

4. Accounts, household members, and sitters

The founding beta uses ChatGPT sign-in. You are responsible for safeguarding the account you use to sign in, keeping account information accurate, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. Only invite people you trust. The adult account owner controls household profiles, task assignments, and any temporary access provided to a pet sitter or other caregiver. The account owner is responsible for choosing what information a sitter can see and for removing access when it is no longer needed.

5. Web push notifications

Web push notifications are optional and require your permission on each device. On an iPhone or iPad, you may need to add Dog Gone Done to your Home Screen before enabling notifications. You can disable notifications through your browser or device settings. Notification delivery may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable because of device settings, internet connectivity, browser limitations, or third-party notification services. Notifications are provided as a convenience only. You remain responsible for directly confirming essential pet care, appointments, and medication administration.

6. Paid plans, renewals, and cancellation

If you purchase a paid feature or subscription, the price, billing interval, included features, and renewal terms will be shown before payment. Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the stated interval until canceled. You authorize our payment processor, Stripe, to charge the payment method you provide. You may cancel through any cancellation method made available in the Service or by emailing doggonedonehelp@gmail.com. Cancellation prevents future renewals and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

Our refund terms are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with its operation; introduce malicious code; impersonate another person; violate another person's privacy or rights; use the Service for unlawful purposes; or submit information you do not have permission to provide.

8. Information you provide

You retain ownership of information you submit. You give Dog Gone Done permission to host, process, display, and transmit that information only as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Service. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Ownership

The Dog Gone Done name, branding, website, software, design, and original content are owned by Dog Gone Done or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms provide a limited, personal, nonexclusive, revocable right to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership.

10. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third parties for payment processing, hosting, email delivery, notifications, or other functions. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. Dog Gone Done does not store complete payment-card numbers; Stripe processes payment information.

11. Service availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free records, delivery of every reminder, or suitability for a particular pet-care need. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backup routines and directly confirming essential care.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dog Gone Done will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost data, profits, or opportunities; or harm arising from reliance on user-entered care records, missed reminders, household or sitter activity, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, pets, the Service, or others; address suspected misuse; comply with law; or discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. If a material change affects an active paid service, we will provide reasonable notice when required.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in a court with lawful jurisdiction in New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
